Salvation of the Soul

salvation1.jpg

Salvation of the soul is defined as being saved from sinful ways and its consequences (forgiveness and repentance), turning to God (faith) and placing our trust in Jesus Christ.
In this life, we access one dimension of God's Kingdom.
*Physical life is temporary.
*All things come to an end.
The second dimension of God's Kingdom is the everlasting Heavenly, Community of God, our dear Lord, Jesus Christ, our Blessed Virgin Mary, the Saints, Prophets, and Angels.
*God is a Spirit.
*Heaven is a Spiritual World.
*God gifted mankind with a Spiritual Soul.
Life becomes precious when we know there is an eternal destiny.
The Biblical revelation of salvation of the soul should lead us to become responsible for our lives.
The Gift of Salvation can only come from God and Jesus Christ.

Gift of Salvation

We turn to God So He can fulfill His Purpose in us.
*To be the Hands and Feet of Jesus Christ in this world.
*Reflect God's Love through service.
The soul is the link between the physical body and the spiritual self that will continue to exist beyond physical life.
Jesus Christ came to prepare humanity for the life to come in God's Heavenly Kingdom.
His Crucifixion on the Cross and His Resurrection provided our own salvation of the soul to everlasting life through the forgiveness of our sins.
This is our destiny where we will finally realize our full spiritual potential.
Jesus said, "I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies; and whoever lives and believes in me will never die".
- John 11:25-26

Turning Away From God

For the atheist, there is "no hope" in God's Heavenly Kingdom.
An "empty soul" does not have the "Fear of God" in their hearts because their beliefs are based in science and the theory of evolution.
A heathen who has nowhere to turn, does not seek refuge in God.
"Look and see, there is no one at my right hand; no one is concerned for me. I have no refuge; no one cares for my life."
- New International Version
We cannot experience, understand, or relate to God when, “The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel that displays the glory of Christ."
(2 Corinthians 4:4)

The Voice of God

prayer9.jpg

Sin corrupts the mind through godless dysfunction.
It separates humanity from one another and from God.
Your conscience is the Voice of God providing a moral sense of right and wrong through Divine values and principles.
The message of salvation is clear.
The individual who steps away from the boundaries of their God-given conscience is inviting calamity.
The prodigal acknowledges their sins by turning to Jesus Christ and asking for forgiveness and deliverance.
In turn, they must also forgive others.
Choices define the consequences.
The Fear of God reminds us that:
We are accountable to Someone.
That Someone is God!

Faith

With Faith we:
*Live God's way.
*Have hope to endure the challenges of life.
*Gain peace of mind that can only be found in God and Jesus Christ.
Faith is trust in a Higher Power.
We have a sense that there is Something beyond this life and Someone beyond this world.
For Christians, faith is found in the Beauty of God.
We walk with Jesus Christ, the Good Shepherd, who leads His flock to greener pastures.
Faith is the bedrock of the true Christian who:
*Believes in God unconditionally.
*Believes that Jesus Died on the Cross for our sins.
*Anticipates the future of God's Promises.
We turn to God and Jesus Christ when we are conscious of sin, are depressed in spirit and for the salvation of our soul.
We need faith to remove mountains in order to do what others think is impossible.
Faith absorbs the mind and soul with the spiritual inspiration of God's Beauty, within, around and above.
“Blessed are they who see beautiful things in humble places where other people see nothing.”
– Camille Pissarro

Salvation of the Soul

Jesus Christ says, "This is the way to a meaningful, just and wholesome existence".
"I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life."
Repentance
Redemption is defined as the act of correcting past wrongs to gain forgiveness.
When we repent, we turn back toward God.
*Joseph forgave his brothers for selling him into slavery.
(Genesis 45:15)
*Jesus reconciled with Peter, after he denied knowing Him three times.
(John 21:15-17)
*When Jesus was being Crucified, He asked God, “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing.”
(Luke 23:34)
Forgiveness
Forgiveness requires repentance from sinful ways to gain the Gift of Salvation.
Just as God loves all His people and is willing to forgive their sins, we must also be willing to forgive others.
Prayer
Through prayer, we pray to God and Jesus Christ for our needs, our hopes and our dreams.
Through prayer God is our refuge and Jesus become our Companion throughout life.

God's Heavenly Kingdom

heaven.jpg

The Heavenly Kingdom of God is a major theme throughout the four Gospels of the Bible.
The moment a person dies the soul heads for the heavenly Kingdom of God.
They arrive with sound mind, intellect and emotions.
The spiritual soul will be resurrected with spiritual gifts to a new and everlasting life.
They are reunited with loved ones who have already gone before and, they will meet God and Jesus Christ.
Negative aspects of earthly life will disappear.
Surely goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the House of the LORD forever.
-  Psalm 23:6
The Heavenly Kingdom of God
Earth is a reflection of Heaven.
But it is also a fallen world with so much evil, corruption and greed.
Heaven is Paradise with awe and wonder all around.
Love, joy and tranquility binds all God's Heavenly Dwellers.
And, every spiritual being is giving Glory to where it is due - to God!
People who have had Near Death Experiences all say that their soul is resurrected with a sound mind, intellect and emotions in the Heavenly Kingdom of God.
They experience a youthful rejuvination beyond description.
And, there is no sickness, sadness or pain.
Surely goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the House of the LORD forever.
-Psalm 23:6
