The Kingdom of God

The Kingdom of God is mentioned in the Old and New Testaments of the Bible.
The New Testament uses it over 70 times with the Gospel of Matthew referring to it over 30 times.
It is one of the key Teachings of Jesus Christ in the New Testament.
The Kingdom of God transcends time and space.
It is a place where love, justice, peace and joy reign supreme.
When Jesus said "My Kingdom is not of this world" (John 18:36) He is referring to God's Heavenly Kingdom.
God is an Everlasting Spirit.
Heaven is an Everlasting, Spiritual World.
Heaven is the spiritual dwelling place of our dear Lord, Jesus Christ, our Blessed Virgin Mary, the Angels, Saints, the Prophets and all God's children.
God created man with a spiritual soul that will continue to exist beyond the physical lifespan in God's Heavenly Kingdom.
Jesus Christ's Crucifixion on the Cross and His Resurrection, two of the most important events in Christian history, provided our own salvation to everlasting life through the forgiveness of our sins.
This is our destiny where we will finally realize our full spiritual potential as individuals.
"One thing I seek - to live in the Presence of the Lord - all the days of my life and, to behold God's Beauty".
-King David

The Kingdom of God
      Who is God?

A heathen philosopher once asked a Christian, "Where is God"? The Christian answered, "Let me first ask you: Where is He not?"
-Aaron Arrowsmith
If you are seeking God - you will find Him everywhere!
Just look around, above and beyond.
God Revealed Himself Through:
*Creation
*The Hebrew (Jewish) Prophets
*His Word (Holy Bible)
*His Son, Jesus Christ
Natural instinct leads us to look beyond the range of physical human experience.
Saint Paul says this instinct was placed in the human-being by God Himself.
The Book of Deuteronomy (4:29) says that if we seek God with all our heart and soul, we will find Him.
In the Letter of James, chapter 4 verse 8, he advises that if we would draw near to God, then He will draw near to us.
“For from him and through him and to him are all things. To him be glory forever. Amen”
(Romans 11:36)

Grace of God

It is through Grace that God gives us spiritual renewal through our prayers, our humility, compassion and through serving our fellow human being.
We are saved from the darkness to find the Kingdom of Light.
God's Grace endows us with salvation through repentance and forgiveness.
The Grace of God Can:
*Influence people through love and compassion.
*Guide the conscience to what is right and what is wrong.
*Govern what is important in life through values.
*Provide the positive choices to live a wholesome existence.
*Enable us to fully realize our Divine Potential.
Who can hide in secret places so that I cannot see them?" declares the Lord. "Do not I fill heaven and earth?" declares the Lord.
-Jeremiah 23:24

Light of Christ

The Kingdom of God is a Kingdom of Light where God Shines.
The Light of Christ is the Divine Energy that comes from God through Jesus Christ for people to receive the Holy Spirit.
A person touched by the Holy Spirit is forever changed.
God becomes the Lord of our heart.
A manifestation of the Light of Christ is the conscience to help people determine right from wrong.
Jesus said, “I am the Light of the world; he who follows Me will not walk in the darkness, but will have the Light of life.”
He also said, “Let your light shine before others."
-(Matthew 5:16a).
We are called to be a light to the people around us by inspiring, encouraging and giving hope through God's Spiritual Paths.
We receive the Light of Christ Through:
*The Holy Spirit
*Prayer
*Worship in the House of God (the Church).
*Reading the Bible.
*Receiving Communion to remind us of our Lord and Savior's Death and Resurrection.
*Being a light to others.
“One thing I do know. I was blind but now I see!”
(John 9:25).

Spiritual Enlightenment

Spiritual enlightenment means being “awakened” to spiritual realities.
Those realities are:
*God exists
*Jesus Christ is our Savior
*There is an eternal, Heavenly Kingdom
Spiritual inheritance is the most priceless gift we can pass on to our children and grandchildren through God's Laws of Life.
God's Laws of Life:
*Sets boundaries - it avoids excesses and eliminates all that is harmful.
*Guide us to right thinking and right action by listening to our conscience.
*Provide standards on which to base decisions that affect life.
When the "heart spiritually awakens" life has meaning, a purpose and an eternal destiny.
Faith, love, hope and peace of mind deepen.
And, we begin to "see" through eyes of faith, God’s Presence within and around us.
Psalm 36:9 refers to Jesus, “With you is the fountain of life; in your light we see light.”
