Spiritual treasures of life are internal riches that are more valuable and everlasting than material wealth.
They are Divine Gifts that have eternal rewards.
Spiritual treasures of life are aligned with Divine Principles that are non-material to living an ethical life of fulfillment through faith, love, hope, kindness, compassion and humility.
They stand in contrast to temporary, earthly, material possessions which are subject to decay and loss and cannot provide a sense of fulfillment or peace of mind.
Salvation of the Soul
When we obey God's Word and walk in the Footsteps of Jesus Christ, we purify our souls.
Salvation of the soul is defined as being saved from sinful ways and its consequences, turning to God and placing our trust in Jesus Christ.
It means being saved from the eternal consequences of separation from God.
In this life, we access one dimension of God's Kingdom.
*Physical life is temporary - - nothing lasts forever!
*Physical life is dictated by time.
*We are neither eternal nor infinite.
*All things come to an end.

Jesus Christ's greener pastures offer safety, security and abundance that radiate holiness, goodness and hope to change lives.
You see yourself differently and act differently by using your talents in service to God and your fellow human being.

Inner peace is cultivated through prayer, meditation, ethical living and spiritual rituals that are central to your faith and traditions.
Spiritual Beauty

Forgiveness is a tangible demonstration of spiritual beauty.
Awe and Wonder
Earth is the physical dimension of God's Kingdom in this life.
Feelings of awe and wonder is experienced by believers through God's Creations every day that fill the mind with beauty and contentment.
We have a life-supporting earth, we enjoy starry moonlit nights, breathtaking sunsets, colorful rainbows and the beauties of the seasons.
Spiritual Fulfillment
Spiritual enlightenment creates spiritual realities.
Spiritual fulfillment provides an inner sense of peace and comfort that only God and Jesus Christ can offer.
The Teachings of Jesus Christ, the Master Teacher, have fascinated people for centuries with their powerful Message of love and hope.
His Parables in the New Testament are ethical lessons that have touched people's lives with their moving and beautiful stories that offer enduring values and guidance which remain relevant throughout the world and have lasted through different time periods for over 2,000 years.
In His Sermon on the Mount, Jesus Christ contrasted what he called treasures on earth and treasures in Heaven.
*Treasures on earth are temporary and corruptible.
*Treasures in Heaven are everlasting.
Life becomes precious when we know there is an eternal destiny.
It should lead us to become responsible for our lives.
"One thing I seek-to live in the Presence of the Lord-all the days of my life and, to behold God's Beauty".
-King David

Spiritual Treasures of Life

Faith
With faith we have a sense that there is Something beyond this life and Someone beyond this world.
The Book of Deuteronomy (4:29) says that if we seek God with all our heart and soul, we will find Him.
Natural instinct in the spiritual sense, is a part of human nature to look beyond the range of physical human experience.
It is an innate, natural way of reacting without conscious thought that there is a Higher Power and that life will continue to exist after physical death.
The spiritual rich have a sense of meaning that extends to spiritual realities.
They believe that we were created for more than this life has to offer.
Natural instinct opens their "spiritual eyes" to a transcendent power (to look beyond the range of physical human experience) to believe that there must be something more than the pain and suffering of this life, something more than living a lifetime with family, having lifelong friendships, getting an education and working only to have it all end with death and oblivion.
Spiritual enlightenment, to move beyond the material world to the Divine, transforms one's life and relationship with God.
Spiritual realities attract the mind to "see" beyond our usual perceptions of our existence.
*God exists
*Jesus Christ is our Savior
*There is an eternal, Heavenly Kingdom
The true Christian:
*Believes in God unconditionally.
*Believes that Jesus Died on the Cross for our sins.
*Anticipates the future of God's Promises.
Faith manifests through a life that has a sense of direction and purpose that is guided by goals, values and spiritual growth that gives a sense of fulfillment.
It provides the emotional stability and resilience during difficult times to persevere through challenges to reach desired outcomes through the power of your imagination.
We walk with Jesus Christ, the Good Shepherd, who leads His flock to greener pastures.
We turn to God and Jesus Christ when we are conscious of sin and are depressed in spirit.
Faith absorbs the mind and soul with the spiritual inspiration of God's Beauty, within, around and above.
“Blessed are they who see beautiful things in humble places where other people see nothing.”
– Camille Pissarro

Walk With God

gift-of-salvation2.jpg

Spiritual Treasures of Life
In my daily walk in life, I follow the Spiritual Path that leads to God.
"It sets my feet firmly on the path that takes me nearer to Thee!'
It is the Path of the Good Shepherd, Jesus Christ, Who leads His flock to greener pastures.
Christian life provides a spiritual language and ethical culture that sets the moral and social foundation that benefit our family, our community and our fellow human being.
Serving God
A servant of God has their heart set on spiritual treasures.
Serving God is the root from which all good works and deeds flow that fill the mind and soul with happiness.
To serve and to give define Christian life.
Through serving and giving, we express our gratitude to God through our unique talents, personalities and abilities for the benefit of our church, our community and our fellow human being.
Spirit of Giving
The spirit of giving helps people in need through kindness, generosity and compassion.
It helps the individual to grow spiritually and to live with a sense of purpose for the common good of humanity.
Moral Compass
The Divine Light of Jesus Christ is the symbol that "shines" into all areas of life that enables us to "see" through the contrasts between light (goodness) and darkness (evil).
The moral compass always points in an ethical direction to guide our actions accordingly to form a moral path to wholesome life.
The most important aspect of society are its people.
Society thrives on wholesome values, it has a rich, dominant culture and is politically stable.
It has safe and close-knit neighborhoods where wholesome families respect common decency and authority.
Family life is much more close-knit within a warm and loving family home.
Moral law distinguishes good from bad, right from wrong and warns against wrong turnings.
Children "brought up" on moral and spiritual values are blessed throughout life.
The Ten Commandments, the Beatitudes, the Lord's Prayer (taught by Jesus) and The Lord is my Shepherd (Psalm 23) for example, were Divinely Designed for the well-being of every individual.
The Ten Commandments of the Old Testament are the protective laws that guide us to things we must not do.
The Eight Beatitudes of the New Testament given by Jesus Christ from the Sermon on the Mount guide us to things we must do.
And, the Parables of Jesus Christ, such as The Good Shepherd, The Prodigal Son and The Good Samaritan teach important moral lessons for how each one of us can judge his or her own life.

Gift of Salvation

gift-of-salvation.jpg

Spiritual Treasures of Life
Christianity gives humanity a reason to life in this world and in the everlasting world to come.
Heaven is the second dimension of God's Kingdom surrounded by love in the everlasting Heavenly, Community of God, our dear Lord, Jesus Christ, our Blessed Virgin Mary, the Saints, Prophets, and Angels.
The Gift of Salvation can only come from God and Jesus Christ.
The Soul
God gifted mankind with a soul that is the link between the physical body and the spiritual self that will continue to exist beyond physical life.
When the physical body dies, the spiritual soul immediately goes into the Presence of the Lord in the Heavenly Kingdom of God.
Jesus Christ's Crucifixion on the Cross and His Resurrection provided our own salvation of the soul to everlasting life through the forgiveness of our sins.
Jesus said, "I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies; and whoever lives and believes in me will never die".
- John 11:25-26
Jesus Christ came to prepare humanity for the life to come in God's Heavenly Kingdom where we will finally realize our full spiritual potential through the shedding of earthly limitations and achieving perfect union with God.
Spiritual Treasures of Life
Salvation of the Soul
Jesus Christ says, "This is the way to a meaningful, just and wholesome existence".
"I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life."
Repentance
John the Baptist preached in the wilderness of Judea saying, "Repent for the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand."
(Matthew 3:1-2).
Repentance forgiveness and salvation are deeply connected to God's Grace and Mercy.
*Repentance is a prerequisite for receiving forgiveness.
*Forgiveness is a crucial element of salvation.
*Repentance and forgiveness open the pathway to salvation.
*Joseph forgave his brothers for selling him into slavery.
(Genesis 45:15)
*Jesus reconciled with Peter, after he denied knowing Him three times.
(John 21:15-17)
*When Jesus was being Crucified, He asked God, “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing.”
(Luke 23:34)
Forgiveness
Just as God loves all His people and is willing to forgive their sins, we must also be willing to forgive others.
Forgiveness and repentance must be embedded in a humble heart to gain the Gift of Salvation through the Grace of God.
Prayer
Through prayer, we pray to God and Jesus Christ for our needs, our hopes and our dreams.
Through prayer, God is our refuge and Jesus become our Companion throughout life.

Voice of God

walk-with-god.jpg

Spiritual Treasures of Life
Choices define consequences.
God gave humanity freewill to shape life by the choices they make within the parameters of one's nature.
However, one must consider moral responsibility.
From ethical considerations to long-term goals, every decision is the direct cause of the outcome that follows.
Spiritual Poor
Earth is also a fallen world with so much evil, corruption and greed.
Spiritual ignorance causes the loss of ideals and values that lead to a good society.
It is reflected in dysfunction, immorality, addictions, violence and evil.
The "spiritual poor" in the "spirit of this age" has distorted what is good and wholesome.
Junk culture can never create a happy home, a wholesome family or a responsible society through the selfish desires of power, status, money, material things and sensual pleasures.
When a society becomes less spiritual, it creates a negative hold on the overall quality of life that separates humanity from one another and from God.
Spiritual Treasures of Life
Your Conscience
Spiritual guidance has a Divine Direction to navigate an individuals path through life's challenges and ultimately leads directly to the Kingdom God.
Isaiah 5:20 says, ”Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness: that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter.”
Your conscience is the Voice of God providing a moral sense of right and wrong.
The individual who steps away from the boundaries of their God-given conscience is inviting calamity.
The prodigal acknowledges their sins by turning to Jesus Christ and asking for forgiveness and deliverance.
The Fear of God reminds us that:
We are accountable to Someone.
That Someone is God!
Peace of Mind
Peace of mind affects the quality of life.
“Hope is the light that shines brightest in the darkest of nights.”
The bigger picture takes shape when the individual says “yes I can do this.”
Jesus said to him, "'If you can, all things are possible for one who believes."
God's Laws of Life:
*Sets boundaries - it avoids excesses and eliminates all that is harmful
*Guide us to right thinking and right action
*Provide standards on which to base decisions that affect life
Holy Spirit
A person touched by the Holy Spirit is forever changed.
God becomes the Sovereign of our heart.
Jesus Christ becomes our companion in our daily walk in life.

God's Heavenly Kingdom

heavenly-kingdom2.jpg

Spiritual Treasures of Life
The Heavenly Kingdom of God is a major theme throughout the four Gospels of the Bible.
When Jesus said, "My Kingdom is not of this world" (John 18:36) He is referring to God's Heavenly Kingdom, the eternal home of God's people.
Heaven is Paradise with awe and wonder all around.
The moment a person dies the soul heads for the heavenly Kingdom of God and is reunited with loved ones who have already gone before.
Near-Death Experiences
Jesus said, "I am the Resurrection and the Life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies; and whoever lives and believes in Me will never die".
-John 11:25-26
Love, joy and tranquility binds all God's Heavenly Dwellers.
Visions of the afterlife have been recorded throughout history.
People worldwide, who were clinically dead and were saved by recorded medical efforts overwhelmingly believe in God's Heavenly Kingdom.
Children too young to know about death or the afterlife have all reported consistent experiences.
They describe how their souls left their bodies and traveled toward a brilliant, white light and found themselves in a beautiful, breathtaking Paradise.
They experienced love, peace of mind and a sense of belonging.
Their souls were resurrected with a sound mind, intellect and emotions in The Heavenly Kingdom of God and were presented with a review of everything they had ever done in life.
They were given spiritual gifts to enjoy in their new eternal life and they experienced a youthful rejuvenation beyond description.
Negative aspects of earthly life disappeared and there is no sickness, sadness or pain.
They were given a choice to stay or return to their earthly lives.
Surely goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the House of the LORD forever.
-Psalm 23:6
Spiritual Treasures of Life
Dr. Raymond Moody Jr
Dr. Raymond Moody Jr is a psychologist and medical doctor, famous as the world's leading authority and author of books about life after death.
Near-death experiences is a term that he coined in 1975 in his best-selling book Life After Life.
Dr. Raymond Moody has investigated people who experienced "clinical death" and were subsequently revived.
Those who have been to the "other side" (the Heavenly Kingdom of God) came back with striking similarity experiences of evidence that there is life after physical death.
They reluctantly came back to give people who want to believe, the reason to hope in the Heavenly Kingdom of God.
They returned, more humble, less materialistic and not afraid of death.
"From the very beginning (of my afterlife studies) I was hearing people with experiences, some of whom had not been religious and some of whom were, and whatever they had been before, afterward there seemed to be a sort of commonality, which is the understanding that yes, there is a God," Doctor Moody said.
